Producer – Sue Zizza:
"The Fall of Kings" a stunning follow-up to Ellen Kushner’s cult-classic novel, Swordspoint, is set in the same world of labyrinthine intrigue, where sharp swords and even sharper wits rule. Against a rich tapestry of artists and aristocrats, students, strumpets, and spies, a gentleman and a scholar will find themselves playing out an ancient drama destined to explode their society’s smug view of itself – and reveal that sometimes the best price of uncovering history is being forced to repeat it . . .Sue Zizza sat down with us in New York to tell all about the audio production of this wonderful book and about her role as producer on this book and many other projects. A really fascinating conversation we’re sure you'll want to hear this one.
Warren Duffy:
For a decade, afternoon drive-time radio listeners in Southern California tuned in from 4 to 7 p.m. on 99.5, KKLA, to hear the daily 3-hour, award winning, talk program “Duffy and Company- Live from LA”. The show covered a wide range of social, moral, and political issues of concern to Christians. Duffy drew a large and loyal audience who heard unique daily insights, listened to his timely interviews with known celebrities, and people called-in to discuss important news and critical issues. During his ten year tenure, National Religious Broadcasters nominated Duffy’s radio program four times as “Talk Show of the Year”. In 2000, he was inducted into the Radio and TV Broadcasters Hall of Fame. A veteran of nearly 50 years in radio broadcasting during the ‘60’s, and the heady days of “Top Forty Radio”, Duffy was named “one of America’s top ten radio personalities”. In the 1970’s, he pioneered the Underground Radio format on FM radio stations from Boston to Los Angeles. He then launched his own management company that included among his clients, the Beach Boys. And if you think he stopped there think again, he wrote the book The Green Tsunami, a common sense approach to environmentalism. He talked about all of this in his insightful charming sometimes hilarious interview.
