Adele Park:
Blue McKenna, a burned-out novelist and pot grower, is in a funk. Even the novelty of living in a town founded by a polygamist who had 22 wives seems blasé. That's why Blue is only too happy to get involved with a group of socially deranged individuals who gather in Navel, Utah, to participate in a reality TV show called Yikes! The latest audiobook from Adele Park, we were lucky to get a chance to sit down with her, and hear all about this newest adventure. Come along for the ride!!!
Sofia Talvik:
Sofia Talvik is the next rising star from Sweden. She has emerged like a lady of the forest, bringing a new interesting side to folk music. She’s playing a unique blend of folk-pop (someone said Neo-Folk). This American genre filtered through her Swedish heritage, becomes something totally unique, a blend that has attracted attention from American reviewers, blogs and music lovers, allowing her tour the US several times. In 2008, she became the first Swedish female singer to play the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Sofia Talvik was born on an island just off the west coast of Sweden. At the tender age of eighteen she left behind the comfort of home for the bright lights and lonely nights of Stockholm where every experience, good and bad, would soon take the form of a beautiful, funny or heartbreaking story destined to capture the hearts and minds of all who would hear the words when set to Sofia’s gentle, melodic acoustic guitar and minimalist back up of cellos, double bass and soft percussion. We caught up with her in Florida at the end of her tour. You don't want to miss this one!!!

New York Christmas Show
- Arrr! A Very British Pantomime will open on January 4th, 2013 and run for 5 shows over the weekend. Despite the name, Pantomime isn't miming. “Panto” (as it'saffectionately known in its native Great Britain) is an old traditionwhich owes a lot to the Victorian British Music Hall (think“Vaudeville”). But it's not much like Vaudeville, Music Hall oranything else except, well, more Panto. Most Brits who have ever been to see live theatre startedwith Panto as a youngster. Maybe local amateurs, maybe ahugely prestigious affair with big names from pop music ora TV soap opera. In any case, it'll have been a huge amount offun and often led to a lifelong love of live theatre.Arrr! A Very British Pantomime was written by Gareth John Jones, Directed by Ridley McIntyre and produced by Liz Jones and Chrissy McIntyre. This has been a true labor of love and we're so excited to bring a slice of British culture to the NYC metro area.

Ruth Nolan :
Author of the amazing new book "No Place For A Purtian" The first literary anthology of California's fabled desertsFeared and romanticized throughout the ages, the desert has a hold on our imagination that is never more evident than in the literature it has inspired. From Mary Austin's meditations in The Land of Little Rain to Joan Didion's acerbic cast of characters in Play It As It Lays, the desert's seemingly barren landscapes have provided rich ground for writers to explore. These explorations have been collected for the first time in No Place For A Purtian . In this anthology are stories that thrill, frighten, sadden, and inspire: a man foolishly and arrogantly collecting live rattlesnakes; a lone woman striving to make a home in a remote desert canyon; a drug-addled journalist's drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas; a Japanese American family coping with incarceration during World War II; and one man's developing friendship with General Patton in a military training camp. There are tales of spiritual and scientific discoveries and of the cities blossoming in the farthest corners of the California desert.
Sergio Magana :
Comes in our studio to tell us about his new book "The Dawn of The Sixth Sun" According to the Toltec/Aztec calendar, which describes larger cycles of time or “Suns” than the Mayan calendar, humanity has been in a transition that started in 1991, moving from the 5th to the 6th Sun. During this shift from one Sun to the other—from one cosmic configuration to another—the influence of both Suns is equally present, as is the case when the seasons change. The 5th Sun will maintain its prevalence until December 21st, 2012, when the two energies shall be in perfect balance. The old Sun will gradually lose its strength, and from 2021 its successor shall reign.

Shlomi Ben Yair :
Flim Maker and Enthusiastic Hear his story great Interveiw from New York with Chrissy McIntyre an Eye Opening Look At Independent Films
In 2010 I finished my short film “Heaven is
Waiting” which was shot as a prequel to a script I wrote named “A Seed of Hope”.
Like many others I had a plan for my first feature, and traveling the festival
circuit with my short, was my next step. I traveled to Milan, Cannes and
Montreal among other places, where I got to meet great filmmakers and see some amazing flims. The more shorts I saw the more my appreciation for them
grew and I stopped looking at them as a way to get to the “big screen”, to me
shorts became big in themselves. A short film normally follows one narrative, it
can be truly independent, extremely courageous and touch or tell ‘most any
story. A short film can affect people, change their day and be a cause for
action.
